The Privilege of Serving the Huichol People

An update from one of our pilots serving the Huichol pastors in the mountains of central Mexico…

“The day was hot and sunny with a cool breeze gently blowing though the trees as I walked up the hill to the church. I could smell the smoke from the fires the ladies were using to cook a huge pot of beans. They would later serve them to the believers. Huichol Christians had gathered from many surrounding villages. Some travelled great distances. All were gathered for one reason only: to celebrate new life in Christ. Eighteen Huichol Indians, young and old, men and women, professed their faith in Christ. A small group played guitars, fiddles, and a cello and sang in Huichol as each was dunked in the water by the faithful pastor.”
